Energizing+Green+Smoothie

Look no further than my latest green smoothie recipe!

I found myself a day before Thanksgiving wanting all the greens and energy I could! When creating this smoothie, I thought through what ingredients can provide the most nutrients I needed. Here is the “why” behind this energizing green smoothie recipe!

Nut Milk

-I love making my own to avoid fillers that can come in many store bought nut milks. Cashews are a great option over almonds, which can have a negative impact on the environment due to the amount of water it takes to grow them.

Avocado

-Avocado is a fruit superfood full of good fat! Remember, there is NO need to fear fat.

CRUCIFEROUS green vegetables-celery, broccoli, spinach

-Most of us get no where near the amount of green vegetables we need in a day. Cruciferous green vegetables not only provide the nutrients we need, but can fight cravings and help us maintain a healthy gut flora.

dates

-Dates are high in fiber and can promote brain health. Plus, they are a natural sweetener which is needed in this smoothie full of greens!

spirulina

-Spirulina is high in nutrients, antioxidants, can level out cholesterol, and detox your liver.

matcha

-Matcha is a traditional, powdered form of green tea. Matcha is packed with antioxidants and will give you a boost of caffeine without the crash.

opticleanse protein powder

-This is my FAVORITE protein powder for its nutritional value, but also because it tastes delicious! This powder is packed with vitamins and minerals to promote a healthy gut. No artificial sweeteners, and masks the taste of vegetables! If you are interested in purchasing, you can sign up here and I can send you the powder!
