There is Nothing Better Than Homemade Nut Milk!

Homemade nut milk is one of my favorite things to make. It tastes creamy, decadent, and the best part is it only has a few ingredients! Cashews are also a great alternative to almonds due to the fact that they have less of an impact on the environment.

INGREDIENTS

4 cups of raw, unsalted cashews (organic if possible)

8 cups of filtered water

1 pinch of salt

1 tsp. of vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Soak cashews for 8 hours in a large bowl of water

2. Add cashews, water, salt, and vanilla extract into a high-speed blender.

3. Blend on high until well combined.

4. Using a thin dishrag or cheese-cloth, drape rag over a large mixing bowl. Squeeze out the milk into the bowl, keeping the excess cashew meal in the rag. Continue to squeeze until all liquid is in the bowl.

5. Store in the fridge for 3-5 days. Enjoy!
